Library Board

Kitchener Public Library is governed by a Board composed of members of the community appointed to serve for a four-year term. The composition and responsibilities of the Board are established by Provincial legislation. Members of the public are welcome to attend and speak at Board meetings. Please see the schedule of meetings below, as well as the procedure to be a delegate (speaker) at a Board meeting.

Apply to join our library board

  • Interest in our library and community
  • Demonstrated leadership
  • Open to permanent residents and citizens of the City of Kitchener
  • Appointment for a four-year term
  • Monthly Board Meetings, on the third Wednesday of each month at 7 pm

Applications are due by September 16, 2022. Appointments are made by City of Kitchener Council with the term beginning January 1, 2023.
